Tripling A Recipe

Hello. I am baking a 12 x 18 x 3 inches deep sheet cake tonight. I need to triple my recipe and my mixer is only 6 qt. It is the cake boss white cake recipe see photo below. Should I make 2 x 1.5 batches. Do you think it's safe to cream the oil, butter , and sugar and mix the eggs with my kitchenaid 6 qt mixer and transfer to 8 qt mixing bowel and mix dry and buttermilk with hand mixer.

I have successfully doubled the recipe in the past.

Your idea sounds good. Or you can make a double and a single batch. And finishing the batter in a large bowl with hand mixer is super. (I often use a stockpot when my mixer is too small.)
