I have a lot of issues with my cakes sticking to pans. I use oil and I have used flour. Any tricks or tips?

I always line the bottom with parchment paper - no sticking. And, I've never use oil with flour, just butter or shortening with flour - not sure if the oil is causing the problem.

Yes. You can buy precut circles at most cake decorating shops, or just cut a circle from a sheet of parchment.

although i use parchment for most all other cakes -- a mixture of equal parts oil, flour and shortening makes a great cake pan release -- i store it in the fridge -- can be wiped or brushed on -- i use it on bundt type pans but it's great for any kind of cake --

Yep, parchment or, waxed paper plus pan grease = no problems.

I line the bottoms and don't do anything to the sides. I just run a butter knife or a spatula around the side to loosen the cake from the pan.
