Decorating By sweettooth_mom Updated 10 May 2016 , 9:50pm by cakegal
I was requested a frozen cake this is the picture the client gave me as a reference:[postimage id="3648" thumb="900"]
I'm debating on going with 10" and 6" round or 10" and 8" round if anyone can provide examples.... I don't know which one would be more aesthetically pleasing and also should i do 3 2" layers for each tier or 4 1" layers.
I have a frozen cake. I did a 10" and 6". My six was about 5 inches tall. The layering inside is up to you. I usually do 2 2" layers or 3 1 1/2" layers.
Thank you for the suggestion I went with 6" & 10" I'm pretty happy with the result [postimage id="3798" thumb="900"]
Well, your client should be very happy cuz your cake is a million times better than the sample pic she gave you. Olaf looks great!
I wAS thinking how much better yours looks than the 'inspiration' one also. I wasn't going to say it because I didn't want to hurt the feelings of whoever made it. I hope you got paid plenty for your great creation.
@-K8memphis @Jinkies @Pastrybaglady @kakeladi Thank you everyone! she was really happy with the finished cake. Olaf was actually really fun to make!
Your cake turned out so well!! great job !!!! i always love it when there's a specific picture a customer gives to the cake maker and the end result is better !!
