Has anyone used Americolor gold food color? How did it turn out? I'm making a wonder woman cake and I can use yellow, but if the gold Americolor looks decent I may go with that instead. I don't want to use luster dust. Tried it once and it didn't turn out well.

Are you talking about the gel color?  I've used it and it is a goldish color.  Sometimes I add a little yellow to it depending on what tone I'm going for.  Just have to be careful with it or it can turn mustardy pretty quick.

The gel color will give you a brownish yellow.

If you want "gold", then you do need luster dust, gold liquid airbrush color, or an edible metallic gold spray. If it's going to be eaten, then it needs to be edible, FDA approved luster dust--NOT disco dust, not highlighter dust, not "non-toxic" dust.
