Hello I'm looking. For a nice moist vanilla sponge cake recipe For under a fondant covered cake I have looked a lot of recipes on cake Central but they are mostly from the US which have to convert or substitute ingredients 

I'm wondering if any uk bakers have any good recipes they would possibly like to share 

This is my favorite sponge cake recipe.  It is easy, foolproof and delicious.  I have made it so many times and even doubled it with never a problem.  This is from the US, but the author very conveniently included the weights in grams. The cake flour might be the only problem if it is not available in the UK.  I hope it works for you.
