Has anyone negotiated a contract with a venue to do all of their wedding cakes for them? This would be a large contract for us to get, but not sure we are covering everything we should. A fixed amount per guest makes sense. Would that price be based on a buttercream frosted cake.? What if bride wants fondant covered cake with more elaborate decorations, and needs cake stands to use ?
There used to be loads of threads on this very topic in the Business section, The Italian baker (CC member) started a few which led on to lots of advice and opinions. if you put it in the search box they may still be there. This site has literally thousands of threads on every topic you can think of, most of the posters don't appear to be here anymore but the advice still is. I always use the search box, saves you waiting days for an answer to a question. Trust me x
PS you'll get the pro's and con's of such a venture, not always a blessing an exclusive contract?
