So I'm making a "naked cake" that is 4 tiers (14", 10", 8", 6" rounds), and I'm not sure whether to put 1 or 2 layers of frosting in each tier. It will have a touch of frosting on the sides, but not much, basically a crumb coat. Any ideas on this are welcome: )

It would actually have to be 1 or 3 layers of frosting, as each baked layer is 2" high.

I agree each layer is split/torted so you end up with 3 layers of filling between 4 layers of cake.
