I have traveled with my cakes stacked for years with no issue.   Today's cake is going to be stacked all to one side,  instead of centered. I had nightmares last night of it crashing during the delivery.   It's a 4 tier cake and I'm going over an hour with it.   Has anyone successfully done this?   Tips?  Should i not stack the entire thing?   Help!  Tia!

yes i have -- no worries  -- if you build a stable cake you'll be fine -- if you want you could stab the top tier with a skewer through the first board and have someone accompany you and hold onto the skewer or build your box around the skewer so it sticks up out of the top then just dab over the hole after setting up --

you'll be fine

i mean 4 tiers -- how heavy is it -- i'd use that as a guide to how much to stack at home -- but you sound a little freaked out so maybe you should stack on site
