Lately my sugar cookies have been getting soft after I ice them with royal icing. I haven't been doing anything differently so I'm not too sure why this is happening. Sometimes they get so soft that when I pick them up from the sides I can feel the cookie get squished. It's definitely not normal.

My cookies usually get iced in the afternoon and then I let them dry overnight.

Does anyone have any advice or know why this is happening? Thank you!

I just read the responses to this question today on the website www.sweetopia.com    She has some great ideas and tips on making and decorating sugar cookies and shortbread cookies.

If you google Sweetopia, you can get to her cookie tips and get the information there.
