Chocolate Fudge Frosting Too Dark And Sweet
Decorating By Oriana28 Updated 13 Feb 2016 , 5:04pm by -K8memphis
I have just made a heart shaped cake and I need to cover it with fondant. I bought ready made chocolate fudge frosting from Betty Crocker but when I tasted it, it was too sweet and tasted like dark chocolate (which I hate) any ideas on how I can improve this? or something else I can use?
Thank You!!
to me the point is how will it taste with your cake -- it won't be eaten alone right? so what kind of cake did you make?
but to tame down the chocolatey-ness you can add some milk or butternilk and then add some cornstarch to blanance olut the extra liquid -- if you do the buttermilk it will reduce the sweetness a bit too
Thank you for your reply :) Its a chocolate cake and i think there's going to be too much chocolate and sugar
you could also add cream cheese to the chocolate but then you need to keep it in the refrigerator --
please lemme know how it goes -- best to you
