Hi all. I have a disaster on hand. I made my never fail go to chocolate recipe, tasty, moist and well received always.

I used a new spring form tin, purchased cheaply in desperation as i left this too late.

I just checked it and half the cake had dripped onto the floor of the oven. The weight of the batter has pushed the base of the tin out of the wall.

My fondant figures are done and waiting but no cake to build. I am short on time, out of chocolate and desperate for a quick replacement recipe. Do you have a quick cake recipe?

The Hershey's chocolate cake recipe is very quick.  Dump everything in one bowl and mix and pretty standard ingredients too.  I'm sure you can find it with a quick google search.  You better line your pan though because it's a very liquid recipe.

Thanks for the reply Jinkies. I ran out of time and went with my mothers butter cake recipe, tried and tested at least. I will check out the recipe anyway, never hurts to have another quick recipe on standby.
