Hi, I live in a small town in Iowa (Greene, Iowa), population 1,200. Our main street bakery is looking for a buyer or will close their doors. The bakery is a staple of our community and none of us want to see it closed. The current owners are doing little to try and sell the business other than a notice in the local paper for inquiries from interested parties. This is a great business! Maybe just a dozen tables or so as most people take theirs to go. Always very busy and is currently run by just a husband and wife team with no other employees. They offer breads, pastries, cinnamon rolls, cookies, cold meat sandwiches on their homemade bread and one soup daily. Do a big lunch business even with those few choices. If you are seeking a business opportunity like this, I'd highly recommend inquiring further! And Greene, Iowa is a fabulous place to live ... great people, recreational river runs right through town, and businesses are supported by the locals!
