Been a couple years since I did a cake...I had a notebook with all my tried and true recipes and they're all there...except my beloved choc cake recipe. I need it for next week. I thought I saved it on this site, can we not save recipes anymore?

Anyway. Sigh.

It was called chocolate fudge cake something or other

it was a scratch recipe

by a famous caker. a man I believe

I was able to sub dutch choc with no probs

it was great for carving

it baked at a very low temp for a long time

you were supposed to wrapped it in plastic wrap immediately after and freeze it. that was its secret

it was insanely delicious. sigh.

Ring any bells? you would be my hero if u figured it out!
