Ok, so my doctor friend is having,  her 45th birthday party in two weeks. Her theme is 5 to 50 as in she has 5 years until she turns 50. I am at a loss as what to make her. She gave me no clue as too what she wants. It will need to serve about 15, so nothing big.

Maybe  something iconic from each of the last five decades? Or something that represents her in each of those last five? Or five things she could do in the next five years. Or showcase her five favorite things. Okay, maybe I've used the word five a little too much in this post. Good luck!

I would make a round cake and put an old traditional clock on top with Roman numbers. Maybe in black and the numbers old gold/coppper-green like the ones in old European railway stations or so. And your could put lots of those wheels around on the sides. You know those clock wheels which make the clock arms move. 

Oh and the clock would be showing 5 to 12...or even 5 to 50 if you alter the numbers.
