I'm making my first tiered cake for my daughters birthday party this Saturday. It's buttercream and I'm using the buttercream for the filling as well.
Ideally I'd like to stack it and decorate it Friday night. It won't be moved after that except when we cut it. The party is at 3pm Saturday.
Can I just leave it overnight like that? It is at my parents house, they have dogs but the dogs won't be able to reach it. I am worried about dust and dander getting on the cake over night.
The cake will be fine to sit overnight. You could cover it with a deep plastic storage box - good idea to clean it first!
