Double Layer Of Fondant

Ok im new here and not sure if im doing this right but had a question.. im doing a sophia the first cake and i love the bottem layer of a cake i had seen on pintrest but have noo idea how to do it  if anyone can help i would really appriciate it!!!563653be956de.png

Yes, just a drape made from fondant (probably with some tylose in it to make it dry stiffer) and another layer over it.

Soo do i let the first layer set up then place the next layer and cut it to shape last?

I would measure out how big it needed to be (diameter of the cake plus the height of the two sides plus a little, maybe), cut out a circle that size,  then put a smaller circle of the contrasting color on it. Place the whole thing on top of the cake and prop up the folds so that it dries the way you want it to. It's basically like covering a cake in fondant but not smoothing down the sides.
