can I just add mascarpone to my homemade buttercream? will it hold shape for decorating? will it have to be refridgerated after decorating? thanks

Mascarpone cheese typically has to be refrigerated, just like cream cheese does. As for holding it's shape, I don't know, I've only used it for tiramisu where it's a very soft filling.
