I would like to suggest a new "channel" on CC named FAQ. 

I see a lot of similar questions asked on the forum such as: best vanilla cake, to refrigerate or not, best buttercream, butter or shortening, 2 or 3 inch pans, etc.

It would help new members or bakers and direct them to previous posts about each subject.

Just a thought...

It's a great thought and seems as if it would work well. That's why "stickies" are used in forums. Before the massive CakeCentral overhaul, we had stickies that addressed numerous FAQs.

But unfortunately, many people didn't read them. I don't know if that happens in most forums, but new CC members would just jump in and begin threads that had been rehashed (and rehashed and rehashed...). Then longtime members would direct new members to the stickies and nasty fights would start because new members took great offense.

With this new website I can't find those stickies now. But I suppose it doesn't matter since (1) they would probably remain unread and (2) we have successfully avoided silly fights.
