Forgive me if this is a very basic question, I am a complete amateur baker. I've never done a decorating class or anything, I've just learned what I can online!

Anyhow, my question is, if I put my gum paste decorations (it's a race track with a loop the loop) onto a buttercream base, will it soak up the moisture and fall apart? Or will the gum paste hold its shape and stay firm? I'm thinking I'll put it on top as late as possible, but I still need to pipe some grass around it so it will be on there for a good hour or two before serving.

Thanks!

Stefanie

It will be fine, it won't soften up unless the humidity is really crazy high.
