Hi, I live is the US and don't have ready access to leaf gelatine, but can get powdered Knox gelatine. Are they interchangeable by weight?

May I ask where in the US you live?
My local cake supply shop carries sheet gelatin as well as the powdered stuff...
Have you checked yours?
I'm in the foothills of California, and very rural. The nearest place that might carry it is 40 miles away. I'm also a bit intimated by the directions on how to use the leaf.
