I'm wondering if you can use an impression mat on a ganache covered cake? I am trying to get the quilted look without having to use fondant. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks in advance.
I wouldn't use a mat on it. Maybe try a skewer to drag it through the ganache and mark the lines before it really sets up. If you wait too long and the ganache sets up you'll just be digging a rough ditch in it and it won't look right.
