Hello Everyone...

Need some decorating advice.  I've been asked to make this cake.  I haven't used fondant a lot, but...I need to know from you wonderful people out there if you would use fondant to make the details on this drum cake.  I thought I would use bread sticks covered in fondant to make the drum "sticks" themselves.  But as far as the detail on the cake itself, what would you guys use???

Personally, I would use modeling chocolate for all of it. It's easy to paint it metallic because the oils in it take the color really well, and it's just easier to handle. Especially for the drumsticks. Those would be easy to make out of modeling chocolate because you can smooth it out easily.

I have never used modeling chocolate.  Is that something that's readily available at say, Hobby Lobby, Michaels...or do I need to buy that at a cake decorating supplier?
