Hi! I am going to make an 8-inch 3 layered cake this weekend just for practice, but am wondering how many cups (or grams) of SMBC am I going to use to fill and decorate the cake? I like a thin layer of filling, about 1/4 inch or less per layer. The decoration I am going to attempt is one of those that you pipe just a round bc, then spread a part of it to the side, then repeat. I hope you can visualize what I'm trying to describe... can't attach a picture with my crappy net.
