Never made tres leches before... but making it for a friend. I plan to use:

Ingredients for Cake

1 (18 ounce) package white cake mix

1 1/2 cups flour

5 eggs

1 cup sugar

2/3 cup cooking oil

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup milk

The original instructions say 13x9 pan. I plan on using 10" round (3 high). I hope to get three thin layers out of the baked cake. Do you think I will get enough batter from this?

Did it blind... filled a 10x3 round nicely. Domed almost to the top at 325 degrees. I am guessing it was 8 cups of batter or so.
