Have request for a Little Big Planet cake. Having trouble getting the sackboy to look knitted. Any ideas what tool will make fondant look like it is crochet or knitted yarn?? Thanks

If you take four strands of thinly rolled fondant and  take the outer strands place between the inner strands, then the inner

strands become the outer strands.  Repeat all the way down.   put as many together as you need to cover the area you want to cover.  Or they sell mats to give the impression of knitting or crocheting.

this is how colette peters does it in her book too but you'd have to pipe over the fondant

I used a clay tool with a  pointy end to push the fondant into grooves to make it look knitted for this one. It's actually more a reverse stockinette stich ;)   http://acaketorememberva.blogspot.com/2015/05/crocodile-cake.html
