I need to make a giant butterfly and need to attach it to the side of a cake..can anyone tell me how to attac the butterfly to the front side of a fondand covered cake and also do i need to wire my wings?

Depends on how big is 'big'. I would try to use royal icing to fix it...if not, I would treat it like a flower and use 2 wires at the top and bottom of the body and use posy picks.
