Hi

I have been asked to make a James Bond themed wedding cake. They want a 3 tier cake with the middle supported by pillars and the top stacked on the middle.

I have made wedding cakes before but only stacked. Could someone please advice me on the best way to do this and is it viable? or would it be too top heavy?? I have to use pillars as the bottom is a roulette wheel so cant take away from the design.

Thanks in advance people!!

I'd use the push-through pillars so that they go all the way through the bottom cake and rest on the board it's sitting on, It's the sturdiest way to use pillars IMO. http://www.wilton.com/cakes/tiered-cakes/push-in-tiered-cake-construction.cfm
