I am planning to make some molded chocolates to use as decorations on top of cupcakes. I already have the molds and the Wilton chocolate melts but the party is just over a week away. I will have a lot to do the last few days before the party so I'm wondering if I can make the chocolates earlier like a week before the party. If I can then what's the best way to store them? Finally this is my first time making molded chocolates which I always wanted to try so I have watched some videos but any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks :)

i'd definitely suggest that you practice now -- and when you get some good ones -- store them in a cool place in a nice box

best to you

I used to do chocolate candies before I got into cakes.  Still do them as Christmas gifts - just wait till you start doing the boxes!

You can make them all ahead of time.  Just keep them covered to keep dust off and cool so they won't melt.  Whatever you do, keep them and whatever they're stored in out of direct sunlight.
