Please Help? Sticking Wires Onto Set Fondant

Hi all, how do I stick wires or skewers onto hard set fondant? Thanks

If it's set/ hard already you can't because it might crack. But if it's a bigger piece (not a leaf or so) the inside might be still soft and you can carefully try and stick it in.

Thanks for your reply, how about if i don't want to stick the wire inside the decoration but on top of? so say i have a flat shape cut out and and its quite large but now set completely, and i want to glue a wire to the back of the shape? 


The only thing i can think of is royal icing but, will that support it enough?

Royal icing won't give any support.  The only thing I can think of is maybe glueing another piece of fondant or gum paste to it with a wire in between. ..

Royal icing or melted chocolate would work if it's not a huge piece with limited contact area.  But Julia's suggestion would mask the wire/skewer so it wouldn't be visible.
