i just have a quick question. Last week and this week Iv had real problems with my fondant.(its winter here in nz)
Im using smbc which I refrigerate, (cant leave it out as its to soft) so covering with fondant on a cold cake.
I haven't had a problem before but recently Its not cooperating. My fondant gets elephant skin and breaks. Im using sheerens smoothers and I cant even use them and the fondant rips apart?
Iv done this newby fondant thing and thought I was well over this, nowI'm doubting myself for wedding season! About to pull my hair out!
I have encountered the same issue......I used this tutorial on YouTube to help. Worked like a champ in my MMF issue. The tutorial references traditional fondant, but the fix works for mmf also if you ever use that ;)
