I've run out of red gel paste and my icing is still slightly pinkish. I live an hour from town and I need red! The only thing I have left that is red is a bottle of wilton colour dust. Does this stuff dissolve? Can I try adding it to my icing?
Yes, but make sure you mix with a little of the icing separately to make sure it all dissolves or blends, then add it to your main batch.
Remember too...dark colors like red tend to deepen upon sitting an hour or two!
