I was wondering if anyone ever used the Dawn foods R&H cake mix, you just add oil and water to it. I saw on a website and it comes in a 5lb bag. I was also wondering if anyone used the krusteaz PLUS cake mixes which you add water, oil and eggs to. I have used the regular krusteaz cake mix that you only add water to and it tasted eggy. I realize that they put egg whites in it so you don't have to eggs to it. I wondered if maybe the box i purchased was old and that is why it had that taste to it, the box did not have a best by date on it rather it just had a code on it. I am sure that they sell lots of this stuff, i even saw it in restaurant depot but it is hard to imagine a lot of people continuing to use it if they get the same eggy taste. I wonder if all add water only cake mixes taste eggy since i also purchased one by Monarch that tasted eggy as well. I love the way both mixes came out the texture and moistence the only problem was the taste.
