I have never used cake lace before, however I have a cake coming up and would like to try it. I have seen forums on here about how fondant does not pair well with cream cheese, but i was curious about cake lace or if i can at least stencil with it? Thank you !

Please clarify.  Are you asking about cream cheese or the techniques used to make cake lace?

WOW! sorry about that. I was all over the place with my question. I have heard that cream cheese buttercream frosting will "eat" fondant or that its not strong enough to hold it. I have a cake coming up and was thinking about using cake lace, so i was wondering if the cream cheese buttercream would "eat" away at the cake lace too, and if its strong enough to hold it, i know cake lace is light weight so i'm more concerned if the cake lace will stay true to form.
