Hi fellow bakers!!!
im planning on making a 2 tier, buttercream ombre colored cake. im wondering if I should decorate/ ombre the cakes first, then stack or if I should stack then ombre?

I think it depends a bit on what kind of ombre decorations you are doing on it.. are they florets? just straight smoothing? are you doing a thick later and then making smoothing lines with a spatula?

I would ombre the cakes first, chill them so the buttercream is hard and smear free, then stack.
