About 3-4 days ago I covered a cake dummy with fondant and put some modeling chocolate designs on it just for the purpose of taking pictures for my portfolio. I just now got around to taking the pictures, been busy with my 9 month old, do you think the fondant can be rehydrated with shortening and still be able to use it? How about the modeling chocolate? Thank you in advance.

I've heard you're not supposed to use that fondant anymore because it touched the styrofoam. It's been 4 days already anyway. You can try to bring it back for use on a different styrofoam cake but I imagine it'll be rock hard, crumbly and bumpy,
