Hi all,

am just new here and there is so much information which is great!
I am curious though as to whether any brand of white fondant can be tinted different colours with gel colours?
in Australia i have madame loulou roll fondant which comes in a few colours and white. i'd rather get the white and tint it but am not 100% sure as it makes no mention of it on the container or website. Is it a given that any fondant can be tinted.
Thanks so much in advance :)

Yes, it can.

But it is a time factor and some fondant is easier to work with. Gel Colors will also make it stickier and you have to work in corn starch or powdered sugar. The dark colors are just a PITA, so many choose to just buy it.

Yes, tinting is a pain. If you want to make a particular color, then it's worth it. But I never tint large amounts of red, black or brown.
