Hi, I have been running a small cake business from home the past few months (mainly birthday cakes etc) and have now had an enquiry from a local cafe for some cakes to sell in their cafe. Does anyone have any advice on how much I should charge them?

Thanks

Would you be selling to them wholesale, meaning you sell to them and then they sell to customers? Or, would they just be getting a cut of your sale?

I am home based and in order for me to sell wholesale, I need to have a whole different kind of license so that would make a difference to me for sure. More expense/overhead and more regulations.

First, find out what kind of deal they are looking for. Secondly, check with your local health dept. to see if you can even do it with your current license.  Then, your charge to them would have to be determined by you based on your costs and whether you could make enough profit to be worth it.
