Help - No Idea Where To Start!

Hi everyone!

I'm an amateur baker and decorator (self taught) and I've been asked to make a cake that may be more than I'm capable off, although I'm going to attempt it but I've no idea where to start...

This is the cake here - I'm think a sheet of sponge on the base and then build up the sides with sponge, should I use Rice Krispie/Marshmallow in there too for some strength? Should I cover it in buttercream or ganache? I don't really know what will be best!

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

I would start with the sponge, build up one more layer around for the stadium, then add some supports up to that point, then use rice crispy treats with a cardboard base to build up the rest of the way. I would also dowel all the way through at least through four places, then use chocolate ganache for extra stability. I don't know if this is the correct way, it's just the way that I would do it. Make sure to have a nice sturdy base as well. :-)
