has anyone had any issues with gears slipping with your artisan kitchen aid?  I have been using it daily for 4 years..... so I know that its not gunna hold up forever, but I was wondering if anyone has had problems like this and were able to fix it. tia

the end may be near -- but if it's only 4 years old you can call ka and see what kind of deal they will make for you -- either trade it on a refurbished one or get it fixed -- that's a heavier usage than it was designed for so it might be curtains though

If you have someone handy changing out the gear is easy and cost less than $10

 http://www.appliancepartspros.com/ has them and you usualy get delivery the next day I orderd two just in case but the first one is still going after
