Hi guys, I have a sweet 16 cake due on Friday and I'm having the hardest time understanding how to use risers in between the tiers. I've never done it before. I was thinking on using smaller size cake dummies (gluing silver banding around them to make it look pretty), but how do I support it? Clueless, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. treat it like a sparkley little cake sitting in there-- you have it exactly right -- you don't want your dowel to sink into the foam so protect it with cardboard or foamcore but yes place your dowel under the riser - you got this
