I'm hosting my first cake show and I've never been to one.  We will be having a cake competition but have a limited budget.  What would you consider a nice prize for a smallish cake show that would not break the bank nor offend the contestants?

Have you considered asking local vendors for donations? Dawn Foods has donated prizes for our local cake show (Southern Indiana) for several years.... buckets of colored icing, tubs of Satin Ice fondant, cake boards, icing colors, spatulas, aprons. Ben Franklin Crafts donated discount coupons. Costs nothing except the time to ask and adding Sponsored by XXX on your who advertising and facebook page. Good luck!
