How do I make my regular BC recipe chocolate? Can I just substitute cocoa powder for ps? I don't want to mess up my recipe, cause I love it and it crusts perfectly for me.
You can add cocoa to your vanilla buttercream recipe, just adjust the amount of liquid you use to get the consistency that you like.
I usually use 1/2 cup cocoa and 1-2 Tbsp. extra cream in my chocolate frosting.
I make my regular buttercream frosting and add about 3/4 cup cocoa to it. You will have to add just a tad more liquid to it.
