Hi all!

I have made circular cupcake toppers a number of times, and wanted to see if anyone had any tips on drying and then moving without cracking. I have had some success with drying on parchment paper and moving them around a bit in the time immediately after making to make sure that they are not sticking later, but this has not been foolproof.

Thanks so much!

I always put a little bit cmc in the fondant if I want them to dry and roll them on cornstarch. That being said I never had a problem with them sticking to any surface  - and I'm not picky...glass plate, plastic, metal - covered with parchment, cling film or uncovered - never had them stuck... Sounds like yours are very "wet". Maybe it's the cornstarch I use?

Oh...forgot to mention...I always dry them in the oven (pilot light on). Just saves so much time :)
