I just semi moved to Pocono Lakes Pa.

I currently live on the east coast which is sea level.

Pa is 1699 above sea level.  How does this affect my baking? My girl friend  who lives where I do on the east coast also lives down the block from me in Pa ( she is a great baker) She said nothing comes out exactly right.  It is always a little off.

What do I have to do to change the recipes to come out right?

Is it a big deal? I love to bake but would get really upset if it doesn't come out right.

 Please help

Thanks

Roe

I've baked at 7000 feet and found these guidelines to be helpful, so perhaps the suggestions for somwehat lowere altitudes can help:
