AHey everyone!! This is probably a really daft question but I cant figure out how this cake is done[IMG]http://www.cakecentral.com/content/type/61/id/3331350/width/200/height/400[/IMG] I haven't been able to find any tutorials thing is I know how this kind of ruffle is done[IMG]http://www.cakecentral.com/content/type/61/id/3331351/width/200/height/400[/IMG] I just can't work out how the edges r soon thin and straight without it rippling from the ball tool if that makes sense!!! Thanx for any help!!

AI just made a cake which looks more like the bottom tier. I did use the ball tool to frill the edges, here is the tutorial http://www.mcgreevycakes.com/2013/09/11/making-fondant-ruffles/

AAlso, If you don't want the rippling, I found that if my fondant strip was drying out it would more thin the fonsant without rippling it. Like the first pic
