Critiques On My Fondant Rose Please!

honest counts here. p.s. sorry for the bad quality. i had to up the lighting 'coz it was too dark. the corners of the last row of petals are pinched, don't know if you can see it. thanks all

I haven't made that many gp roses but .......

Overall it looks pretty good.  I suggest the center petals should be thinner - especially the tips.  Also the bottom/last row the petals should be a bit shorter & more of them.

AUse gumpaste. The petals can be rolled thinner and it's easier to soften the edges for a more realistic look.

I made most of my 'gp' flowers from fondant.  If you knead in some Wilton's dry gp mix (fiddle - can't remember the other stuff used to make gp) it strengthens it so you can roll it & get those tips thinner :)

I don't think you need 2 rows of bottom petals, but make the ones used shorter so you can put 2 or 3 more on there.  Looks like you have 5 there now.  Use 7 instead.  That's just my opinion :)
