hello cakers,
i made such a fail today. this never happend to me before. a costumer was supposed to pick up a cake today. this afternoon i spended all my cash money and i totally forgot to go to the bank to get some paper money in my wallet. so the costumer came to pick up the cake and she had €100 cash, the cake price was €75 and when i wanted to get the change i totally realised i forgot to get some!
my God i'm sure she will think: what an amateur or something like that! the problem was solved by her husband but still i am so dissapointed in myself omg what should i do?
Don't beat yourself up too badly!! Nobody is perfect!! We all learn from our mistakes and I am sure you will always have change from this point on!! Hang in there and keep your faith!! It sounds like everything worked out in the end with the customer's husband.
Nowhere near the biggest fail ever, but kudos to you for holding yourself to higher standards. That's not so much the norm these days. :)
AI agree with kimmi, on the fail scale that was barely a blip! Now if you forgot the cake was due or dropped it right before delivery that would be something to write about. Be happy it was resolved right there and then :)

seriously. i went out of town a few months ago and FORGOT to fulfill an order. The woman was outside my house and I was no where to be found.
That is a fail. I never have change. I always hope they will give me a tip, which usually happens!
