Okay so I have seen several ways to do this technique and I wanted to see what people think...

one way is to tint the batter and pipe it into the cake pans like snakes etc..

a while back I saw a lady making really thick batter almost like dough and rolling different size shapes wrapped in light brown and dark brown dough and them placing them randomly in the cakepans...I have also been told to use the consistency of cake ball dough...

I like the idea of the dough balls better as the random piping of batter seems like it won't work very well..

Can anyone tell me which works better..I have a baby shower cake in a few weeks with this cake design inside...

Thanks

AI have no idea, never heard of that before. But just reading your post I'm thinking that I would want the leopard print to be visible in the cut, means it has to be done vertical, not horizontal. Does that make sense? Am very keen what people will post that have done it before...
