AIn honor of Valentine's Day I plan to make cupcakes that are pink. The cake mix that I'd like to use is Betty Crockers chocolate fudge cake mix. Once beating the mix into a batter, I want to mix some pink food coloring into it. Will the appearance be pink like the food color or will it still be dark brown because of the cake mix? Thank you.

I have never tried to dye a chocolate cake... but I would imagine that with as much cocoa that is usually in a chocolate cake, you aren't going to get a pink cake...

Maybe if you tried a white chocolate cake...  Or vanilla... or something of the sort...

No way to go from brown to pink. I would add red or pink cake balls or cubes to get a color in there.
