I am hoping someone out there has some good advice! My wife has started a small cake business, focusing mostly on kids birthday cakes (less on weddings at this point in time). I would love to surprise her with a getaway sometime this year, and was thinking that a cake conference would be a great place to send her! I'd like something where she has the chance to take some lessons/classes on different techniques and ideas, and the less wedding cake focused, the better. Any ideas on what might be a good conference for her to attend in 2015, without the focus being on cake competition or 100% wedding related?

Thanks!

(Leaving my name out since I don't know if she reads these sites and I want it to be a surprise)

Ices is one of the most well know conventions. This year it will be in Omaha, Nebraska in August. Cake Camp, Las Vegas, NV in August is also very popular and comes around every other year! This year there will also be a new convention that satin ice will be sponsoring which is in Miami. I think this one will be in September. I cant remember. Here are the links for the different conventions I mentioned. Keep searching because their are many more... these are just the ones I will be attending this year! :)
